Why Punta Cana?
It is because Punta Cana offers dazzling white sand beaches and turquoise water from the Caribbean Sea !
The shoreline of Punta Cana is protected by law – no manmade structures to detract from this natural beauty.
Punta Cana remains tropical year round but December to April is the best time to visit.
A few days before Easter Sunday is Holy Week – motorized water sports will not be operated for a couple of weeks but Dominicans from all over the country flock to the bay side to compete with volleyball contests, drink, soak under the sun and dance the night away. It is still a great time to join in for the party!
Where to stay?
Since most travellers arriving to Punta Cana will spend most of their vacation at their resorts, it is, therefore, recommended to choose the best hotel you can afford . Remember deciding on a 4 star verses 5 star means little difference per day, so splurge! Iberostar Punta Cana is perfect for families or couples looking for excellent value. Other great friendly hotels are Gran Flamenco by Occidental and LTI-Beach Resort, they are both located on the famous Bavaro beach.
The East Coast beach strip is one of the best choices for those seeking the perfect beach and R & R (rest and relaxation) vacation – miles of silky-fine white sand, deserted beaches with coconut palms! You are free to stroll the beach strip going from one hotel’s beach front to another, especially in the Cortecito, Bayam and Cabeza de Toro areas.
Punta Cana offers a wide variety of water sports opportunities: catamaran boat rides, double-decker party boats, parasailing, glass bottom boats for marine life observation, fishing, diving snorkeling, speed boats, kayaking, sailing and more!
Most of the packages to Punta Cana are all-inclusive – meals are included but you may want to skip a day and enjoy restaurant dining at sunset on the sea! Fresh caught seafood entrees are a must.
How to get around?
