Why Varadero?
Varadero is a SUPERIOR BEACH destination!
When to go?
Varadero is a “year-round” destination . The hot, rainy season runs anytime from May to October but winter, December to April, is the peak season. This is when most of the Canadians and Europeans arrive. Cubans take their holidays in July and August, so this is when the local beaches are most crowded. Christmas, Easter and the period around mid-end July, when Cubans celebrate the anniversary of the revolution, are also very busy.
Where to stay?
While Varadero has accommodations for every taste and budget, we suggest you to stay in a 4 star hotel at the very least. It is important to choose the best resort that you can afford as you will be spending most of your time there and don’t forget, your all-inclusive package take care of your meals too!
What to do? Where to go?
While many spend days on the heavenly beaches and bright turquoise waters but Cueva de San Ambrosio is an interesting archaeological site not to be missed. This is where you will see the African slave cave art plus eye catching antiques of the fabulous vintage cars of the 1950’s + 1960’s are everywhere – a true collector car enthusiast heaven!
If time allows, join a tour package to Havana – the capital of Cuba ! A city that has never-ending symphony of movement and music. It is also lined with glorious Spanish colonial architecture.
Matanzas City and Cayo Piedra Underwater Park are popular attractions too:
Party animals?! Join the Cuban-style nightlife— salsa, rum, and cigars. It is not as authentic anywhere else! Varadero has lots of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The prices in the restaurants are the same as on other Caribbean islands, the clubs, as a rule, are less expensive.
As almost all of the packages to Varadero are all-inclusive where meals and local drinks are included. Try to choose a resort that has both buffet and a la carte (at least two a la carte) restaurants so that you can try different types of food. Don’t forget to try the famous Cuban coffee when you’re there – it’s great!
How to get around?
We recommend you to join a tour package to visit different attractions. Tour package can be arranged through hotel front desks.
